With its 45 hectares the island of Mainau is located on Lake Constance, in the south-west of Baden-Württemberg near Switzerland and Austria. The redwoods of the majestic arboretum, over 150 years old, invite you to relax and indulge nature's seasons. In summer, palm trees and citrus plants give the island a Mediterranean charm. Enjoy a million tulips, rhododendrons, fragrant roses, perennials, colorful dahlias. In the immediate vicinity of palm trees that can reach 15 meters in height stand respectively the castle of the Teutonic Order, whose construction was completed in 1746, and the Church of Sainte Marie, two architectural jewels of the Baroque period. The island of Mainau is the ideal setting for resting, recharging your batteries and indulging in a little relaxation. But also families are welcome. Children can play and let off steam as they see fit on the grounds of the "Mainau-Kinderland" (children's paradise on the island).
